The Membrane nitrogen generator CAME system uses a semi-permeable polymeric membrane to separate and obtain nitrogen from the air The desired feedstock is compressed air containing 78% N2, 21% O2, 0.9% Argon, and 0.1% other components The hollow fiber membrane is actually like a gas permeable tube When the compressed gas passes through the core of the thin tube, some gases such as steam, O2, N2, and CO2 will permeate through the tube wall, but the nitrogen gas permeates slowly - under the stream pressure, the nitrogen gas flows to the tube end and out to the nitrogen buffer or storage tank as purified product nitrogen.
