Principle of CanGas® PSA Oxygen Generator
The PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) Technology, a revolution in Non Cryogenic Air Separation and Oxygen Generation Technology, adopts special grade of ZMS (Zeolite Molecular Sieve) as absorbent to do air separation.
Compressed air from compressor goes to Refrigerated Dryer air, desiccant dryers and normally 4 stages of air filter for treatment to remove water/oil vapor and particles.
Dry, clean, compressed air is led to aTwin Tower PSA oxygen generator module interconnected with automatic change over valves.
Dried cleaned filtered compressed air comes in contact with bed of Zeolite molecular sieves (ZMS). Zeolite Molecular Sieves are special grade of adsorbent which have the property of preferential adsorption of nitrogen molecules.
One tower in oxygen production process, whereas the other tower undergoes regeneration which is achieved through depressurization of the tower to atmospheric pressure via a silencer.
The outgoing oxygen gas is led to a buffer tank where the minimum pressure will be maintained with the help of Back pressure Regulator.
After the oxygen purity reaches setpoint, the product oxygen is ready to use by users.
